Driving After BBL Surgery

Driving after bbl surgery can be a bit tricky. You must be careful not to sit directly on your buttocks for a couple weeks after the procedure, but that doesn’t mean you can’t drive at all. The key is to follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions and to stay hydrated. You should also wear a compression garment to help reduce discomfort and speed the recovery process.

You should also take your medications as directed by your surgeon and stay out of hot tubs, sun beds, and tanning salons until they give you the all-clear to do so. The good news is that the swelling and soreness typically subside in about a week or two, and you should be able to resume most of your normal activities, including driving.

Ideally, you should have someone drive you for the first three weeks after your Brazilian bum lift so that you don’t put any pressure on your buttocks. If you have to get behind the wheel, we recommend using a pillow that will help cushion your backside. Alternatively, you can buy a special wedge pillow that is designed to go under your thighs and allow you to sit without your buttocks touching the seat.
